  15. Here are some new advertisements for Grand Prix II. The default ones didn't
  16. include all the same main ads as in 1996 season. So I have replaced some ads
  17. with the new ones, but many old ads are still used. Tobacco ads are also
  18. included to tracks where tobacco advertising is allowed. Because the number
  19. of ads allowed per track is limited, there wasn't a possibility to add all
  20. the advertisements.

  22. These ads are real for each circuit. I have used many Formula 1 magazines
  23. and some videos to help the job. However you can't ever see the whole track
  24. from the pictures and videos, so there may be some advertisements missing,
  25. but I have tried to do as good job as I was able to do.
  26.  
  27. PLEASE NOTE: This version is not the final version. I just wanted to release
  28. this, because I'm going to go to Canary Islands for my holiday. There are
  29. still many new advertisements to come in next version. I have to wait for
  30. Eurosport's F1 season review also to be able to get some more advertisements
  31. of '96 season, which aren't shown in my magazines.

  34.  * Installation
  35.  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

  37. To install these advertisements just run the batch file called INSTADS.BAT
  38. included in this archive. It will use Trevor Kellaway's GP2JAM .BMP to .JAM
  39. file converter (also included in this archive) to install new advertisements.
  40. Do NOT start installation until you have read at least this installation part
  41. of documentation!
  42.  
  43. Each track has its own directory for JAM files in GAMEJAMS sub-directory in
  44. your GP2's directory. For example Silverstone's directory is
  45. GAMEJAMS\SILJAMS. Installation batch will update new advertisements to right
  46. directories.
  47.  
  48. NOTE: The installation batch will not modify any other files than those JAM
  49.       files!
  50.  
  51. All you have to do is:
  52.  
  53. 1. Make a backup of the tracks' .JAM files. Each track has its own directory
  54.    in GAMEJAMS directory. Explained better further up. The best way to make
  55.    backups is to make a sub-directory (e.g. OLDJAMS) into each track's
  56.    directory and copy track's.JAM files to its own OLDJAMS directory. So if
  57.    you want to uninstall these advertisements, just copy those .JAM files
  58.    back to the original directory.

  60. 2. Unpack all these files into GAMEJAMS directory. Do not unpack to any other
  61.    directory!
  62.  
  63. 3. Run INSTADS.BAT from GAMEJAMS directory.

  65. 4. Run GP2.EXE and have fun with you new advertisements.
